About WISE
The Worcester Institute for Senior Education (WISE) at Assumption University is a member-directed organization created in 1993 to provide lifelong learning opportunities for older adults.
Our vision is to be a learning community that offers older adults intellectual stimulation, socialization, personal growth and opportunities for service. Through the peer learning concept, members share their knowledge and experience with each other by creating, coordinating, and participating in courses.
In-person courses are held at convenient times at locations on the Assumption University campus and at venues in the area. Online courses are offered via Zoom.
About WISE Courses
WISE offers a rich array of courses in literature, science, music, art, history, and, well, you get the idea. Each year, we offer more than 80 courses. The courses are typically five 90-minute sessions. No tests or grades required!
